My Favorite Song Weekend - Teen Memories
When I was a teen my family had taken in a foster girl. She was in Love with Donny Osmond. The posters went up in my room, which I shared with her. I remember telling her I do not want to wake up in the morning looking at Donny's face. I saw the Osmonds on the Oprah show This week, turning on the TV....just before I changed the channel. There were over 100 of them! They sang some of their oldies. It reminded me of the foster girl.
I found this one and Laugh my head off. This is "Puppy Love" sang by Donny Osmond at the Ohio State Fair in August 1972. You need to watch this, the girls go wild and try to drag Donny of the stage his brothers pull him back. Oh the Crazy teens of that time.

Gosh, Donny Osmond was SUCH a heart throb! I remember those days.
ReplyDeleteI suspect some of those girls would still drag him off the stage today! lol
ReplyDeleteI used to have his posters on my walls too. And I went to go see him whenever he was at the WI State Fair.
ReplyDeleteI was never a fan of Donny Osmond! My roots go back a little farther to the Beatles and Rolling Stones of the 60's. And, who would have thought that the Stones would still be going strong!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
I remember watching D & M with my flatmates. The guys loved M and I loved D. Looking at them now, they looked old, we must have grown old too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting.
