Aloha Friday - Wedding anniversaries

Yesterday was my 32ndWedding Anniversary. Hubby and I went out to breakfast at the wonderful New restaurant. We are going away for a weekend in Lancaster. I really like it there. Every year we try to go somewhere on or around our anniversary.
Your Question is:

What do you do for your Wedding anniversary, do you celebrate them or not?
If you are not married.. Do you celebrate a special day with your Partner or Friend?
If you are too young to have a boy friend or girl friend...What do you think would be the ultimate thing to do for an anniversary?

Visit An Island Life for more links- a direct link is in the Photo. Please link here, it will make it easier for other bloggers and me to visit you. Don't forget to come back tomorrow for My Favorite Song Weekend post.Hubby says it's a Casey Kasem type..You be the judge is it?

  1. Generally, my hubs and I go out to dinner - just the two of us, no baby! LOL! What would be the awesomest thing in the world to do for our next anniversary? Revisit the places we went on our honeymoon! Aaaaahhhh!

  2. We try to celebrate. We get each other small gifts and maybe try to get my parents to watch the kids and go to dinner. Nothing really special right now. Maybe when the kids grow up we can.

  4. Before my daughter was born hubby and I use to go out to dinner and just have a nice, relaxing evening together on our anniversary.

Now, my daughter's birthday is the day before our anniversary so two years ago I spent our anniversary in the hospital and last year we celebrated by having her 1st birthday. This year we'll probably just have a nice family day together.

  5. Nope, we don't celebrate at all. If we even remember it is a miracle.

  6. We do not do anything overly special. Just time together, which has worked well for 18+ years. :)

  7. For me the perfect anniversary would be time alone, taking a walk, sharing a meal and just talking. Life is so busy and time is so precious we don't often have the time to just enjoy the simplicity of life.

  8. Happy wedding anniversary.

We're celebrating our 10th anniversary today. Just a nice quiet dinner for us tonight.

  9. Congratulations! 32 yrs is awesome. We just celerated 18 & while we give each other cards we usually go out to dinner too. This year I wasn't feeling so hot so instead we took the kids w/ us later to try out a new restaurant in the big city.

In two years though I'm angling for a nice getaway! Don't know how long or where but getaway here we come!

  10. I've never had a wedding anniversary but next year will be our first. I'm not sure what to expect out of an anniversary but I think a nice dinner and a mini trip somewhere would be great.

  11. We don't celebrate a special day because for me everyday I get to spend with Bill is special. We'll be riding the trike this weekend around Lancaster so if you see 2 old farts on a red trike give a honk.

  13. We celebrated our 2nd anniversary this year - but I was on a trip with my MIL and SIL on the actual date! As a gift to ourselves we had really cool portraits done of us to hang in the living room. http://wkiskizt.wordpress.com/2009/07/17/we-art/

The first year, we went to dinner at a nice restaurant. Of course, that was before having a baby who needs a sitter! I'd love to go back to where we honeymooned, but that won't be for another 10 or 15 years...in the meantime, it's nice to get out for a fancy meal once a year!

  15. A romantic dinner at a nice restaraunt. We dress up and do it right. I'm looking forward to the time when our kids are a bit older and the hubs and I can sneak away for the week-end. Alone. Just the two of us. Now that would have to be my perfect celebration!

    Congrats on 32 wonderful years!!

  16. Josh and I try to celebrate but it gets difficult finding childcare AND time off work for Josh. But we try to at least eat dinner together alone on a date :)

I am the more romantic of us 2 and that gets him in trouble...but I have learned to cut him slack!

  19. We haven't celebrated an anniversary since our fifth. We have out tenth coming up this fall and we'll try to do something special {dinner & movie}. It's depressing, I know. Thanks for your comment. I enjoyed playing outside as a kid, and climbing trees, and running. Aloha and take care.

  21. Well, last year was our first anniversary... We both had to work (and I was pregnant) so we didn't really do much! This year, he is in Afghanistan, so we will be apart...
Just knowing I have forever with him makes every day special for us!
    Thanks for visiting my blog!

  22. We don't do any one thing for our anniversary; it varies every year. Our 3rd was the best so far; now we're coming up on the 9th and have no plans yet!

  23. We just had our 41st. We remembered to say "Happy Anniversary," but couldn't afford to do anything else!
