Aloha Friday#11- It's Music Time
If I Could Blog Back Time Thursday Post was on remembering a Favorite TV Show, who featured a favorite group or musician. I watched the Ed Sullivan Show with my parents and I liked the Monkees. You might want to hear them, they are playing below in Thursday Post.
So, here is your Question:
On what TV show did you see your favorite Group or Singer/Musician?

This one is tough, I remember seeing favorites (at the time) mostly on award shows like the Grammy's and AMAs. Now, I see them on talk shows like the Tonight Show or David Letterman!
ReplyDeleteI don't think anyone I liked was ever on tv 'way back then", lol unless it was Bandstand. Maybe, if I think back to the Banana Splits (an old show) when I was real little, there may have been some on there.
ReplyDeleteI never really saw any of that until I moved out....I led a somewhat sheltered life I guess you could say lol.
ReplyDeleteOh fun! That's an easy one for me:
ReplyDeleteKeith Partridge of The Partridge Family! (David Cassidy IRL, of course!!)
Hands down he was my fave. I have 8-tracks. Still. Really I do.
I am not sure for a TV show but I loved Carrie Underwood from American Idol if that counts. She was my pick to win from day one that season.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure where I first saw Julia Fordham but I really love her songs. I watched her several times in concert.
ReplyDeleteThe Monkees!!
ReplyDeleteHere we come, walkin' Down the street We get the funniest looks from Ev'ry one we meet
Hey, hey, we're the Monkees
And people say we monkey around
But we're too busy singing
To put anybody down . . . okay sorry about that!
Probably Bandstand but I don't remember! And the band was probably KC & the Sunshine band or the Bay City Rollers.
ReplyDeleteAacckk. . . . this will REALLY age me ~ LOL ~b/c most of you probably have never heard of this show, but it was The Ed Sullivan show and Sonny & Cher - They had the best musicians on both those shows!!
ReplyDeleteI loved when Fall Out Boy was on One Tree Hill
ReplyDeleteDavid Letterman always has the best musicians, not to mention Paul Schaffer!
ReplyDeleteOMG, I'm with you . . .I remember watching The Ed Sullivan Show with my parents, but I hated the Lawrence Welk show, my dad's OTHER favorite! Weren't the Beatles featured on ES?
ReplyDeleteI can't think of any right now!
ReplyDeleteMickey Mouse Club :)
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...I would have to say the Tonight Show with Jonny Carson.
ReplyDeleteWell, Dave Matthews Band was on the Today show (today) - but I'm from the MTV generation, so everything was about music videos on MTV!
ReplyDeleteI've been watching old episodes of ER and I just love George Clooney.
ReplyDeleteI sometimes see really cool bands that I've never heard of on Saturday Night Live.
