FlashBack Music Weekend- Mama and Papas

Listening to the flashback Weekend On the Radio now. I awoke to the Mamas and Papas. I remember hearing them as I was growing up. The song "California Dreamin" is a very familiar one. It was their second song and the most popular one in my opinion. This group was a short lived one. Started in 1965 and last only 3 years. Personal problem in the group lead to their break up. They return for a musical reunion in 1971. The group won one Grammy in 1967 for the song"Monday Monday". Later in 2001 this song "California Dreamin" was given the "Grammy Hall of Frame Award". With Winter leaving us and I thought I would reminisce a little, How did we make at through the Winter Months.....

Auntie E's Music Weekend-Coffee Time

For this weekend music, I thought I was put something fun from way back. On Friday my question had to do with headaches remedies. One of the answers was drink a lot of Coffee. I love that solution, so off I was to find a song on coffee. OL' Blue Eyes, as they called him, sang The Coffee Song.
The Coffee Song was Written by Bob Hilliard the music was by Richard Miles. First recorded in 1946 by Frank Sinatra, Ol' Blue Eye's himself.
Hubby has been singing it all day, very catchy tune. He said the song has a great story. Enjoy!

My Favorite Song Weekend.

When I was younger I would visit Granny. There was a girl across the street that had a phonograph player. One song we played was "Build Me Up Buttercup" by the foundations on a 45 record and bellowed out the words. I loved picking buttercup flowers also. Granny had plenty of them. So many memories with this song. It just drives my family crazy when I listen to it..really... I Bellow out the song and regress a lot.
