Aloha Friday.....Rainy Days?

Here we go again, Rain, Rain, Rain. I guess this is going to be a rainy season. So, I thought I would ask a question about Rainy Days.

What do you like to do on Rainy Days?

I think I will look into spending some time in my Vintage sewing room. I have quilts to work on and costumes to make. Crafts seem to be a great thing to do for me.

  1. Rainy days really are great crafty days, aren't they? I usually try to catch up on my craft projects on rainy days, too. :)

  3. Oh, I love rainy days! Especially after this last summer...but really, I always did. I remember when I was a kid living on the boat watching the rain splash in the harbor, and when we moved to the mountains I loved the smell after the rain--the lush smell of earth and pine.

Now I take my kids out on the porch to watch it...and if it's warm let them run around and play in it. It tends to downpour here when it finally rains, so they get soaked...but on the rare times it just gives us a gentle sprinkle on a warm day I'll walk out in it too.

Here, we've been coming up with "rainy day" activities all summer, since the heat kept us inside as much as a rainy day would. When it's 108 you just don't go out to play (unless there's a pool involved). But it's cooling off now, and we're starting to get a few rainstorms...but they say there's not many more coming for the next few months. I feel bad for the farmers out here.

  9. Rain makes me sleepy. If I can stay awake, I'm either online, knitting, working with the kids (we homeschool), or... i don't know. I should probably be cleaning though!!
