Fridays Question.-February celebrations.

February, A month of Love so they say. It is said that this month was created by the Card companies to sell cards. So be it, according to my way of thinking. I love getting the special treatment for my hubby. This got me thinking;

What is your thought on this special month?
Do you like Valentines Day?
Do you just do something on the 14th or are you a month celebration person?

We are a month celebration household. It starts February the first and last until the 28th. After all it's the shortest month of the year. It's the coldest month here also. So all those gifts and loving duties are so much enjoyed. Bring on the chocolate and flowers, Let's brighten up the home.

  1. We show love all year long and stopped celebrating V-day years ago. Every once in a while though, we will do something fun.

    Happy Aloha Friday!

  2. I'm always happy to receive a nice bouquet of flowers, with all the snow we have outside right now, it's nice to bring a little taste of Spring into the house

  3. What a great idea to celebrate all month long! We just have one special meal - everything is pink or heart-shaped. I am going to have to check out your Kitchen blog to see what you have on the menu for the month.

  4. Personally, I think it should be celebrated every day but think it is more of a commercialized day.

  6. I don't mind Valentines Day! I like it actually. I don't do a month-long thing, but so far this year, days leading to V-day, we are making crafts and thinking on what to give hubby for valentine's day.

  7. We have no plans. I will help my son with his school Valentine thing, but dh wont be here so that's that.
    If he was, we'd probably do dinner at Ihop or something.

    But it's good to celebrate love! We need it badly, even for one organized day!

  8. I love Valentine's Day. I get so excited about the kids Valentine's from school :) I decorate for Valentine's Day...it is a great pop of red and pink in an otherwise pretty bleak month.

  11. Valentine's Day is fun, but we do not make a big deal about it. Just another day to make sure we express our love to people that we may not always remember to say it to.

  12. Personally I like the idea of celebrating all month long - Princess Nagger likes to decorate our fake fica with heart ornaments. :) We usually don't do anything 'big', but I do cook a special dinner and we do exchange gifts and cards. :)
