This is The National Christmas Center in Lancaster,Pa. It was a great place. If you live close enough you should visit it. It's open year round.

  10. Love it ~ Brings back great memories of the little "% & Dime" store on the square of our little town in Nebraska where I grew up!!! So much fun shopping there - and at Christmas - I still remember shopping for my family with my little coin purse filled with my "stash" of coins!!

    There's another giant Christmas store in Frankenmuth, MI, which we visited last July... Yes, sure, it's open all year round, but it's just not the same. You HAVE to go during the Christmas season...

  22. Wow, those are great! I remember Woolworth's downtown in Colorado Springs. What a fun walk down memory lane.

    My photo today actually is soap. It's Fels Naptha being grated to make a batch of laundry soap. :D

  28. I thought it was a real store until the teller didn't appear quite alive? Is it a replica where nothing is actually for sale? It reminds me of shops in SF China town with the rows of novelty items.
