Aloha Friday -Haunted Houses.

My Question:

Have you ever gone to a Haunted House set up for Halloween?

My parents had sponsored one in the mid 60's. We had a Man/boy in a Coffin, Lighting, music, sounds.Large spider webs, spooky people, and games. Mom was dressed up as Lilly from the Munster. That was a new TV show just out in 1964, and very popular. She would greet the kids and adults at the door and invited them in. Then give them a push at the bottom of the stairs, they landed on a mattress with springs. it was totally dark. Someone who give them a hand, yes just the hand, lol. People came in and Was never seen leaving. You heard a lot of screams... Oh yeah is was scary all right....Let's hear yours....

  3. I used to go w/ my boyfriends. They always enjoyed them!

One of our neighbors back east used to do a haunted house for the neighborhood kids until they had their own kids. It was great because it was friendly even for the little ones.

  4. The best one I went to was outdoors. It was in a field/forest. You had to cross a stream, crawl across logs, and people in costumes jumped out at you. It was dark and creepy in the trees. I loved it!

  5. I went to one long ago. Not a huge fan of that type of thing. Last year they had one at Six Flags for Fright Fest during the fall and it scared the kids just with the strange "characters" walking around.

  7. I think I was 7 or 8 years old, ans we rode a haunted train and it entered a cave and there were a lot of spooky stuffs inside. that's when i got scared.
When I got older, I usually to to inside haunted houses like in disneyland or others set up for halloween, I am more curious with how things were done than get spooked ...

  8. I used to go all the time but haven't for a few years. On year we made a haunted house inside a semi-trailer. It was amazing! We had a huge party with games etc. and everyone loved it.

  13. I never have gone to a haunted house. I set one up for a family party many years ago. It was quite small and in my house. One of the nieces was so frightened by the ghost (my dad) that he had to shed his costume and comfort her.

  15. your parents sound as if they were a lot of fun! What a great memory. I'm a big sissy cat. I went to one once when I was little and it seriously scared the pee out of me, even though I'm sure it was pretty lame.

  17. i've been to many professional and home based haunted houses. it was what we used to do as teenagers. we took our kids to a few as they were growing up but they've just got too gory and graphic so i haven't been to one for some time now.
