Aloha Friday - Old Treasures

It's that time again. When we all take it easy on Friday and answer a simple question posted on our blog. Kailani of An Island Life started this wonderful Meme to bring us together for a short time. We all post a question on our blogs not to hard to answer then we hop from blog to blog and answer them. You can leave your link on MckLinky to make it easier to Blog Hop.

Here is My Question to you:

Do you have a piece of your past that you have held on to?

I have a Pet rock. I have had it since Christmas of 1975. It has been everywhere I have. Now it sits proudly in my glass cabinet.

Isn't it nice?

  2. Wow - that is such a cool pet rock! I have my flute which I got in 7th grade when I joined the school band (way over 25 years ago). I continued to be in band throughout high school.

  3. I've kept so many things from my past that they are cluttering my house and life !!! I'm trying to sort through them and decide what I absolutely need to keep, and what I can part with. Books, Vinyl records, stuffed animals, clothes... you name it, I've kept it !!!

  6. I still have the pink musical bunny and the kermit the frog my dad gave me the day I was born.
Great musical choices BTW. I would sing My Favorite Things.
    Aloha and take care.

  7. (Sorry if this makes a duplicate - it ate my first comment!) In my box of things from before I got married, one of my favorite things is my first pair of toeshoes. They're tiny, but I felt so grown up when I got them!

  8. I have so many things that I've carried around in a special suitcase, but most are connected with my Son's birth when I was 16. Never had a pet rock, it's cute.

  13. I had a candle that I received when I was a teen. I held onto it for many years. I finally let it go last move as it was falling apart. (you were number 56, so sorry)

  14. I still have letters from high school that I have kept. My hubby doesn't like that I kept letters from a guy friend. lol But it's part of my past and I tend to be a pack rat.

Thanks for linking up to my blog. Have a great weekend!

  18. I hang on to everything! It drives my husband nuts. One of my oldest things is a really cool friendship bracelet that I remember finding while I was crossing the street at a busy intersection in the city that I lived in when I was around 7 or 8 years old. Kind of gross now, when I think about it as an adult. I would never let my sons pick up anything they found on the street. My mom wasn't with me, cause she wouldnt have let me do that either!
